Details of the the arrest were first obtained by Arizona Daily Mail News on April 8, 2015 after having been released by the arresting agency. Arizona Daily Mail News's analysis of the official report suggests that Merrill was questioned and later charged for a driving-related offense.
When jailed, Mr. Merrill was defined as a white man, blonde hair, blue colored eyes, 20 years old, 160 lbs, and 5' 8" tall. No further details were recorded at this time.
